STONE AGE

Prehistoric time period, during which humans widely used stones for tool making.Stone tools were made from a variety of diferents kinds of stone.

For example: FINT and CHERT these were shaped or chipped for use of cutting tool and weapons.

BASALT and SANDSTONE were used for ground stone tools such as QUERN STONE, WOOD, BONE, ANTLER (DEER) and other material were used.

Pre-historic time: term to describe the period before the written history.

Stone age:

Paleolithic (old stone age)

Mesolithic (middle age)

Neotithic (new stone age)
